Research in Education and Rehabilitation (RER) is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts represent original work and that all ideas, text, data, figures, and other materials originating from other sources are appropriately acknowledged and cited.

The originality and academic integrity of submitted manuscripts are considered during the editorial assessment and peer-review process. Authors may be asked to provide clarification or additional information if concerns regarding originality, attribution, duplication, or appropriate citation arise during the evaluation of a manuscript.

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, presenting another person's work or ideas as one's own, copying or closely reproducing text without appropriate citation, improper paraphrasing, and using previously published material without proper acknowledgment.

Authors must appropriately acknowledge their own previously published work. Substantial duplication or redundant publication without appropriate disclosure and citation is not permitted.

If plagiarism, substantial inappropriate similarity, or redundant publication is identified before publication, the manuscript may be returned to the authors for clarification or correction or may be rejected, depending on the nature and extent of the issue.

If plagiarism or other serious publication misconduct is identified after publication, the journal will investigate the matter and may issue a correction, expression of concern, or retraction, as appropriate.

Cases of suspected plagiarism and publication misconduct will be handled in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement and relevant Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidance.
